Notepad++ Programmers Tool

Summary

Notepad++ was developed by Don Ho in September 2003. Ho first used JEXT (a Java-based text editor) at his company but, dissatisfied with its poor performance, he began to develop a text editor written in C++ with Scintilla. Notepad++ is a free (as in “free speech” and also as in “free beer”) source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages.

Details

Notepad++ is a text editor and source code editor for use under Microsoft Windows. It supports around 80 programming languages with syntax highlighting and code folding. It allows working with multiple open files in a single window, thanks to its tabbed editing interface. Notepad++ is available under GPL and distributed as free software.

Extremely versatile editor for web developers and programmers. It has most everything that a coder will dream of having in a text editor for JavaScript, CSS, HTML and C language too.
